These terms are the agreement between you and UK AI Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number [NUMBER], registered office [ADDRESS]). They cover your use of KomboKlipper, the app. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't install it.

Your Patreon membership is a separate agreement with Patreon. Patreon's terms cover payments and your account there.

What you are getting

KomboKlipper is a Windows program that saves your TEKKEN 8 matches as clips from your own Steam background recording, and turns them into highlight reels. Everything runs on your PC. Your video never leaves it.

  • Free. Saving matches and rounds, the library, the reel editor, and 720p reels with a KomboKlipper watermark.
  • Pro. Everything in Free, plus HD and vertical renders, no watermark, advanced fight details, auto highlights and custom intro and outro.

The exact list for each plan is on the Patreon page. The app may change over time. If a feature is removed from a plan you have paid for, you will be told first and offered a refund of the unused part of your current period if that change matters to you.

Your licence

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on your own PCs, for your own use, including posting the clips and reels you make.

  • Free needs no payment and lasts as long as the app is offered.
  • Pro lasts while your Patreon membership at the Pro tier is active.

UK AI Group Ltd keeps ownership of the app and its code, which is proprietary. You keep ownership of your own footage and of the clips and reels you make with it. The game footage itself belongs to its rights holders.

Devices, sign-in and offline use

  • One Pro account works on up to 2 PCs at the same time.
  • You sign in with Patreon from inside the app (Settings → Account → Sign in with Patreon). The app is told which tier you have. It never sees your Patreon password.
  • After sign-in, Pro works offline for up to 7 days. The app checks in about once a day when you're online. If it can't reach the server for more than 7 days, it drops back to Free until it can.
  • To move Pro to a new PC, use Remove this PC on the old one, or remove an old PC from the new one when asked. You can do this once every 7 days; contact support if you need it more often.
  • A Windows reinstall counts as a new PC. If your PC clock is set backwards by more than 48 hours, Pro pauses until the next check-in.

What is collected

See the privacy notice. In short: just enough to run licensing. No video, no screenshots, no game data.

Cancelling and refunds

  • Cancel any time in Patreon. You keep Pro to the end of the period you paid for, plus up to 3 days of grace and up to 7 days offline while the licence check catches up.
  • After that the app goes back to Free. You can keep using it.
  • Your media is never locked. Every match, round clip, reel, project and set of fight details you already made stays on your PC and can still be opened, played, exported and shared. Cancelling only stops you starting new Pro work.
  • Projects that use Pro settings can still be edited. Rendering them on Free uses the Free options and tells you.
  • If something goes wrong, or you're not happy, ask. Refunds are made for faults that can't be fixed in a reasonable time, mistaken or double payments, losing Pro through no fault of yours, or a Pro feature being removed. A month used in full because you changed your mind is unlikely to be refunded.
  • You pay Patreon, not UK AI Group Ltd. Patreon adds VAT where it applies. To ask for a refund, email contact@komboklipper.com with your Patreon name, the date of the charge and what went wrong. Email first rather than starting a chargeback; a refund is quicker than a dispute.
  • Pro unlocks as soon as you sign in, so when you join you are asked to agree that access starts straight away and that you lose your 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Your legal rights if something is faulty are not affected.

Acceptable use

Don't share, sell or lend your sign-in, licence or Pro access, or use it on more PCs than allowed. Don't crack, patch, reverse engineer or work around the licence checks, or build tools to do that. Don't redistribute, resell or host the app or its installer. Don't use the app to break the law or someone else's rights, or overload or attack the licensing service. Breaking these terms can mean a suspended licence; you'll be told why and given a chance to explain unless it's a clear case of abuse.

Games, Steam and your responsibilities

KomboKlipper is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Bandai Namco or Valve. TEKKEN is a trademark of its owner. Steam is a trademark of Valve. Names are used only to describe what the app works with.

The app reads video files that Steam has already recorded. It does not read anything from the game, inject code, hook the game or draw overlays on it. The only thing it checks about the game is whether it is running. That is how it's designed and tested, but UK AI Group Ltd doesn't control the game, Steam, or any publisher's ban decisions. You are responsible for checking that your use of the app, and of recording, complies with the game's and Steam's terms and rules.

Updates

The app checks once a day for a signed update notice and tells you when one is available. You choose when to install it. It won't update while the game is running. Very old versions may stop being supported, and licensing and security fixes may need you to update.

Warranty

If you are a consumer in the UK, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights about digital content: it must be of satisfactory quality, fit for a purpose you made known, and as described. Nothing in these terms takes away those rights.

The Free tier is provided free. Detection works on the recording setups that have been tested; it may not detect every match on every PC, resolution or language. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, the app is provided as is. Keep your own backups of footage you care about. The app only copies from Steam's recording and doesn't delete your files.

Liability

Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else the law doesn't allow to be limited, including your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, UK AI Group Ltd is not liable for loss that wasn't reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses, lost profit or lost income. Total liability for anything connected to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the problem arose, or £[50] if you only use Free.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. Uninstalling keeps your clips. UK AI Group Ltd can end the Free tier or stop offering the app with reasonable notice, refunding the unused part of an active Pro period, and may suspend or end your licence straight away if you seriously break the acceptable use rules.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated. For changes that matter, you'll be told in the app or on the Patreon page before they start. If you don't accept a change, you can cancel and ask for a refund of the unused part of your period. Contact: contact@komboklipper.com.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts and local consumer law still applies. If you live in another country, mandatory consumer protections where you live still apply.
